COEJL on Campus

Jewish environmental activism is happening on college campuses in many different ways. Click on the following links to learn more:

  • The UC Davis Hillel, where students and staff are committed to designing and building a completely green Hillel from the ground up!
  • TEVA at the University of Florida
  • The Green Team at the American Hebrew Academy (a Jewish boarding school) in Greensboro, NC
  • COEJL offers a workshop on Jewish environmental activism on campus at Hillel’s annual Spitzer Forum on Public Policy. In 2005 we had 20 participants from 15 campuses attend! In addition to highlighting activities at UNC-Chapel Hill, UC Davis, and Georgetown University (see above for more information on these campuses), Kathy Ozer from the National Family Farm Coalition and the Community Food Security Coalition joined us to talk about local food activism.
