OTHER WAYS TO DONATE TO COEJL
Join the COEJL Legacy Circle.
The Legacy Circle is a way to honor and recognize those donors who have made a planned gift such as a bequest or charitable gift annuity to COEJL. Once you make such a gift, you will receive a Legacy Circle membership certificate. With your permission, we will also include your name in our annual report or newsletter. And we will invite you to occasional events in recognition of your vital role in helping protect creation.
You may make a bequest to COEJL in several ways:
- Name COEJL as a beneficiary in your will or estate planning;
- Specify a fixed amount of cash or property;
- Specify a fixed percentage of your estate;
- Designate the remainder of your estate after you have made specific bequests to other beneficiaries.

Gifts of Stock or Bonds
You or your company can donate stock, stock options and other investments to COEJL in one simple transaction. A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. You benefit by avoiding capital gains taxes and reducing income taxes. COEJL gains by receiving assets that are easy to sell and will generate funds to support our program. Matching Gifts
Thousands of companies have Matching Gifts programs that can double the tax-deductible donations made by their employees. To participate in a matching gift program, you will need to fill out a form provided by your employer and enclose it with your donation. Ask about your company's Matching Gift program, and double your donation!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
This year as you clean out your closets, sell your stuff on eBay and benefit COEJL! eBay has a program, which allows people who sell items on its site to designate all, or some of the sales price (minus commissions) to COEJL. To sell on eBay now or for more information, click here.
Donate a Product or Service
Consider making a tax-deductible donation to COEJL in the form of a product or service, such as computer, recording equipment, printing for a brochure, or food for an event. To discuss a possible donation, contact us at info@coejl.org or call (212) 532-7436.
Get Creative
Many of our donors have come up with imaginative ways to support COEJL. We encourage such creative generosity and welcome your input.
Consider these possibilities:
- Coordinate a benefit fundraiser
- Auction your paintings and other artwork, antiques, jewelry, and other valuables or sell them on eBay!
- Donate real estate
- Donate one month or one week of your annual salary
- Be a matching fund sponsor
- Seek corporate matching funds
- Introduce us to a corporation, foundation, trust, or other potential donor
- Sponsor a speaker’s bureau
