De co-founded both Shomrei Adamah of the Washington Area and the Green Shalom committee of Temple Emanuel of Kensington, MD in 1990 on the 20th anniversary of Earth Day. She is an artist, activist, and educator as well as a four-time alumna of the Hazon Jewish Environmental Bike Ride.
