Josh has spent the last twelve years leading Jewish nature programming for children and adults throughout the United States and Israel. Jewish traditions come alive as a hike through the forest becomes a walk through the six days of Creation. Protection of the natural world takes on new meaning when mitzvoth (commandments) inform us of how we should behave in Creation. Josh specializes in program development that integrates outdoor living skills with Jewish traditions and practices. He creates fun, memorable and safe experiences that enable learners to develop Jewish identity and pride. After graduating from the Jewish Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Jewish Education, Josh married his beautiful hiking partner, Sara.
