Nathan is completing his rabbinical studies at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (2006) after working for 7 years as an energy efficiency policy analyst at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). At the end of his LBNL work, Nathan took 6 months off to hike the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail. A co-chair of the College’s Green Committee Nathan has sought to merge his environmental passion with Jewish tradition by co-leading workshop sessions on Green synagogues at two Jewish Reconstructionist Federation conventions, teaching and participating in three Hazon NJ Jewish Environmental Bikerides, and teaching various adult education classes on Judaism and the environment.
