Jewish-Catholic Dialogue and the Environment

Pope Francis released an encyclical (authoritative Catholic teaching) about the environment.  Known as Laudato Si’, the encyclical describes the interconnectedness of people and the environment and calls for curbing climate change.  In connection with this document, COEJL developed the Guide to Jewish-Catholic Dialogue and the Environment, which includes materials on interfaith relations, Jewish teachings on climate change, and a synopsis of the Pope’s new work.   Over the next few months, we will continue to update the guide with additional information, resources, and materials.  We hope this guide serves a platform for deepening Jewish-Catholic relations and interfaith discussions on climate change.
