NEW DIRECTOR JOINS COEJL Sybil Sanchez recently joined COEJL as the new director. Read about it in the Forward's article 'Towards a Greener Judaism' and the JTA's article 'Jewish environmental group increasing efforts as climate debate heats up'. Jewish Energy Covenant Campaign COEJL is working to bring Jews around the country together to work toward a better future on the common ground of a healthy environment, green jobs, and a secure energy future through action, education and a personal pledge that we urge you to take! CAMPAIGN ACTION YOU CAN TAKE: Stop Senator Murkowski from Gutting Clean Air Act Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski intends to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas emissions - effectively stopping the EPA from enforcing its recent ruling that such gases jeopardize our public health. If the carbon output of polluting industries isn't regulated, it will increase unabated - and that is not an acceptable situation. We urge you to call or write your Senators today and urge them to vote 'no' to any attempt to ban the EPA from regulating green house gases. Join the environmental, faith, and social justice communities that are uniting against this attack on the Clean Air Act and to support the regulation of greenhouse gases by the Environmental Protection Agency. Together, we can defeat this amendment.
