Rabbi Dr. Barry Freundel is rabbi of Kesher Israel in Washington, DC, Assistant Professor of Rabbinics at Baltimore Hebrew University, and Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University. Serves on the Executive Council of the Rabbinical Council of America, Vice-President of the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington.

Served on the Theological Committee of the Human Genome Project of Baylor University. Author of Contemporary Orthodox Judaism’s Response to Modernity (KTAV 2003), as well as numerous articles and reviews, Rabbi Freundel has given many presentations on Halakhah and political ethics on Capitol Hill and at the National Institute of Health. He was ordained at Yeshiva University .
