Susanna Haas is active in Jewish environmental education and community programming. She worked as an environmental educator for British Columbia ’s Adam va-Adamah Environmental Society for three years and now mentors upcoming educators. She is also a long-standing board member of the society. Susanna works with youth and the community to organize interfaith environmental events such as "Spirituality and the Environment: Vancouver Forum 2003".

Susanna is deeply committed to fostering opportunities for citizens to engage with each other and with decision-makers in order to influence policy and governance. She served as Project Coordinator with the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform, a historic democratic process recently conducted in British Columbia . In her work, Susanna continues to support citizen conversations that directly impact public decisions. A Vancouverite and graduate of Simon Fraser University 's communication program, Susanna was a participant of the school's inaugural undergraduate Semester in Dialogue. Susanna is an Action Canada Fellow for 2005/06.
