Dr. Roberta Kalechofsky is founder of both Micah Publications and Jews for Animal Rights. She is the author of seven works of fiction, a monograph on George Orwell, two collections of essays, poetry, and Haggadah for the Liberated Lamb. Dr. Kalechofsky is the recipient of literary fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Council on the Arts.
