COEJL Tu B'Shvat

Create a Rainstick

Use a large cardboard wrapping paper tube, paper towel tube, or toilet tissue roll. Poke toothpicks randomly up and down the tube so that it pokes through both sides.

(Note: If your tube is too wide and the toothpick can't reach through both sides, keep the toothpick in place with clay at its base.)

Seal one end with a circular cardboard cut out or fabric attached with fabric glue or paper attached with strong tape. Drop in dry beans, beads, or rice. Seal up the other end and turn from side to side—and make it rain!
