The rally is open to the media and coverage is invited. The Open Letter from more than 30 heads of denominations and senior leaders across the spectrum of religious life will question whether the administration's energy plan meets “biblical standards of stewardship of God's creation, intergenerational equity, and social and economic justice by depleting energy sources, causing global warming, fouling the air with pollution, and poisoning the land with radioactive waste.” After reading the Open Letter and announcing plans for mobilization, representatives of faith communities will fan out to meet with Senators and members of Congress from their states and districts. WHAT: Interfaith Capitol Hill Rally for Energy Conservation and Climate Justice WHEN: Tuesday May 22nd 12:30pm-1:30pm WHERE: Capitol east lawn between the Senate and the Supreme Court
