Animal Sounds Game At-a-Glance

Description
  1. Play the sound effects tape and ask the children to identify the noises.
  2. Tell or remind the children that in the Bible story Adam was asked to give names to all the animals (Genesis 2:19-20). Using picture prompts, children in pairs devise - like Adam -descriptive names for animals of their choice.
  3. Each pair presents their names to the class, who guess the animal's identity.
  4. Read to the class 'Adam's Animals' from 'Does God Have a Big Toe?' - an amusing Midrash on the biblical story.

 
Materials Needed
Sound effects tape of animal noises.
Pictures of animals
