Dr. David Brooks has worked on issues related to energy conservation and water conservation in many places in the developing world. He is now retired from work with Canada's International Development Research Center and has joined the international environmental group called Friends of the Earth. He has special knowledge of water issues facing the Middle East, and was part of the Canadian delegation to the Middle East Peace Process. He lectures on environmental conditions in developing countries, with an emphasis on sustainable development; ecology and Judaism; and water problems in Israel and her neighbors in the Middle East.
