The last 3 years I was “Isaiah” at our congregation, dramatizing the Yom Kippur Haftorah that implores us to take action. This year I wore a Giraffe mask and chanted a message of a different perspective. I like to employ dramatization, story telling, hard facts, and a call to action.

Recent efforts included: 1. Founding and promoting a “Declaration of Interdependence” that called upon our public officials to be better stewards of creation. 2. Composing a letter and recruiting clergy to support our Wild Sky Wilderness bill. Past efforts included: 1. Co-founding the Bay Area chapter of COEJL. 2. Serving as Washington Program Director of the Northwest chapter of COEJL.

My partner Joe and I live in the Cascade Mountains, where I run a B&B – Wild Lily Cabins. Our river runs through the heart of Wild Sky. I thank HaShem that after a long term disability, I can once again hike and backpack in this gorgeous country.
